About Me
Hey love. I’m Domino. I write erotica. Intelligent erotica. Hm. Is that a contradiction, perhaps? But I’ve always been a fan of morons, assuming they’re entertaining enough. Seriously, though, we’re going for smart and sexy, thoughtful and explicit. Stories that stimulate your mind as well as your clit. Some will be easy reads, smooth and creamy, with a few interesting half-baked ideas tossed in there to sweeten the mix. Others might be more difficult, without a happy ending, full of thorns and seeds to challenge your mind. Either way, you’ll always get a handful of super hot sex scenes, a couple of believable characters with dramatic arcs, a mini-plot to drive the tension, and some kind of cultural critique or social commentary.
My stories are written equally for women and men, with the idea that you might have fun reading as a couple in addition to masturbating by yourself in the bathroom at 2 am. I’d like to think that there may be some gentlemen out there who may be intersted in supplementing their straight-to-the-limbic-system mainstream porn habit with a little written erotica. Especially if it doesn’t suck (or maybe because it does). I'm a basic hetero cis girl, so I tend to stick to that, although you’ll find some flexible characters and a little bit of kink here and there.
Finally, this is an art project. The point of art is to make it, so I limit my use of AI in the creative process. I enjoy the struggle. I haven’t used AI to generate content for my stories (i.e. to write drafts or directly review/edit my words). But I do use AI as a research assistant and writing consultant. The writing consulting is a grey area, so I try to be careful. For example, I have asked ChatGPT to give me ten options for how a person from the 18th century would say “What’s up dude?”, then taken it to workshop on my own. That doesn’t feel like using AI to write on my behalf, and it’s super helpful. It’s possible I’m wrong. I worry less about using AI to write some of my marketing copy (ex. Amazon page blurbs and keywords, this website’s contact form). I also used an AI tool to create the current “cover art”, although that is not my preference. I spent all my money on a human editor, but when I make a physical book, I will get an illustrator. Hopefully that clarifies my usage of AI. I really just want to enjoy the artistic process and own my stories. I also respect my readers’ time and the enormous effort that all authors put into their work. It’s only fair that I do the work, if I expect others to give me their time and attention.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy!
